“LEGACY PROGRAM”
THE GOAL:
Engage benefactors to give a planned gift to Bishop Kelley’s legacy society.
Bishop Kelley (BK) is part of TAG's Legacy Partnership Program and utilized custom Legacy marekting pieces to engage with donors and inspire them to make a legacy gift.
In addition, BK asked TAG to share at an event with friends of their school, alumni and donors the importance of legacy – all while representing BK as their legacy office.
THE RESULTS:
Bishop Kelley’s Development team says there has been an increase in the number of supporters who have noticed the custom legacy ads in their school magazine and eNewsletters. This was apparent to the BK team through the conversations they have had with donors.
“There's no way to know how many of our benefactors have been motivated by the ads to include BKHS in their estate plans, but based on conversations we are having, it appears the ads are generating interest in long-term support for the school!” said Doug Thomas, Director of Philanthropy.
In addition to custom marketing pieces, The Advancement Group has been the planned giving arm of Bishop Kelley's Office of Philanthropy. Mr. Thomas says, “Donors attending the BK legacy events have appreciated the level of professionalism and all the services they are able to access through our legacy department (TAG).”
